XL6009 Adjustable DC-DC Step-Up Boost Converter Module

Raise a DC supply to a higher, adjustable voltage for electronics projects with this XL6009 step-up converter module. Set the output using the onboard trimmer, then measure it before connecting your circuit.

Key specifications

• Type: non-isolated DC-DC boost converter (step-up only).
• Input: 5–32 V DC.
• Adjustable output: 5–35 V DC, set higher than the input voltage.
• Output power: up to 15 W with natural cooling, subject to input voltage, load and temperature.
• Switching frequency: 400 kHz.
• Enable control input: on by default; can be driven low to disable the converter.
• Connections: solder pads for the DC input and output. Two 3 mm mounting holes.

First use

1. Connect a suitable DC supply to the input pads, observing the + and − markings.
2. Measure the output with a multimeter and adjust the trimmer to the voltage your load requires.
3. Confirm the voltage and polarity before connecting the load. Allow for heat dissipation at higher power.

Protection: This module has no built-in short-circuit or reverse-polarity protection. Add an appropriate input fuse or protection circuit and check your wiring before applying power. It cannot reduce an input voltage.
