The VL53L0X Time-of-Flight (ToF) Laser Distance Sensor Module is a compact, high-precision distance measurement module based on STMicroelectronics FlightSense™ technology. Unlike traditional infrared distance sensors, the VL53L0X measures distance using a laser time-of-flight method, allowing accurate distance readings independent of target reflectivity.

This module acts as a tiny self-contained Lidar system, capable of measuring distances up to 2 metres with millimetre resolution. The onboard breakout board includes voltage regulation and level shifting, allowing easy integration with 3.3V and 5V microcontrollers.

The VL53L0X is widely used in robotics, obstacle detection, drones, smart devices and DIY electronics projects.
