Simply connect it via USB, and you can enjoy music, movies, or access files from your discs. This external drive is also capable of burning (writing) CDs and DVDs, making it a versatile solution for backing up data, creating music CDs, or recording video content.

Installation hints, tips & troubleshooting:
  1. Ensure that the portable CD reader is connected directly to the computer. Do not use a USB HUB or USB extension cable.
  2. Ensure that both the power supply cable and the data signal cable are connected to an operational USB port.
  3. Ensure that, after the USB DVD Drive connected, a full restart of the host computer is performed.
  4. Typically, the computer will recognize the external drive and automatically install the drivers for the device.

Product questions & answers

Understand how this product works and whether it suits your setup.

Can I plug this USB disc drive directly into my TV’s HDMI input?
No. This model is specified as a USB computer disc drive, with no HDMI output or standalone TV playback specified. Use it with a compatible computer and suitable disc-playback software, then connect the computer’s video output to the TV if supported. A USB-to-HDMI cable does not make this drive a standalone player.
Can I copy music from an audio CD to an MP3 player?
Use the drive with a compatible computer and CD-ripping software to convert the audio into MP3, or another format your player supports. Then transfer those files to the player. The drive does not perform that conversion or transfer directly to an MP3 player on its own.
Can I copy photos from a CD or DVD to my computer?
Yes, on a compatible computer you can copy files from a readable data disc. Connect the supplied USB data and power leads as instructed, open the disc in File Explorer and copy the files to a folder or USB storage device. Your computer’s software determines which photo formats you can open.
