TTL to RS485 UART Converter Module | Auto Direction 5V

Give a 5 V microcontroller UART a two-wire RS-485 interface with this compact converter board. On-board automatic direction control switches between transmit and receive, so no separate DE/RE control pins are needed.

• Supply: 5 V at VCC and GND.
• UART pads: TXD, RXD, VCC and GND. The supplier lists 3.3 V and 5 V signal compatibility; check the RXD voltage requirements of a 3.3 V-only controller.
• RS-485 pads: A+, B- and an earth-marked connection.
• Indicators: TXD and RXD activity LEDs.
• Serial rate: 110 to 256000 bps, according to the supplier.

Connect the A/B pair to a compatible half-duplex RS-485 network. The board has bare solder pads; pin headers, screw terminals, wiring and bus termination are not included. One module supplied. This is a UART-level converter, not a USB adapter.
