HC-SR04 Ultrasonic Distance Sensor
HC-SR04 Ultrasonic Distance Sensor
Bring accurate distance sensing to your next project with this HC-SR04 Ultrasonic Distance Sensor Module.
Using ultrasonic sound waves at 40kHz, this compact board measures the time it takes for a pulse to bounce off nearby objects, then converts it into distance. With a typical range from 2cm up to 400cm and accuracy around ±3mm, it’s a go-to sensor for robotics, collision avoidance, smart bins, parking sensors and interactive installations.
The HC-SR04 is easy to use with Arduino, ESP32, ESP8266, Raspberry Pi and most 5V microcontroller platforms. Just connect VCC, GND, TRIG and ECHO, trigger a short pulse in your code and read back the echo time to calculate distance. There are countless example sketches and libraries available online, making this an ideal first sensor for beginners and a reliable workhorse for advanced makers.
