Key benefits
- Stores audio on the module, so no microSD card is required.
- Drives a suitable 4–8 Ω, 3–5 W speaker directly.
- Supports button, sensor and microcontroller control.
- Provides DACL and DACR outputs for an external amplifier.
- Compact 23 × 26 mm PCB with 2.54 mm connection pitch.
Applications
- Voice prompts and status announcements
- Alarms, doorbells and access-control sounds
- Talking models, props and interactive exhibits
- Robotics, automation and control panels
Compatibility
Use a regulated 5 V supply. I/O and UART signals use 3.3 V logic. Use proper level shifting or voltage division for signals driven into the module from a 5 V controller.
For direct speaker drive, connect a 4–8 Ω, 3–5 W speaker across SPK+ and SPK− only.

Important limitations
- Power the module from 5 V. The 3.3 V specification applies to I/O/UART logic and the V33 output.
- Do not connect SPK+ or SPK− to GND. The speaker output is bridge-tied; connect the speaker only between SPK+ and SPK−.
- This module has fixed 4 MB onboard flash and no microSD/TF-card slot.
- Audio capacity depends on file format, bitrate and channel count.
- Gapless playback is not specified.
- Correct mode-pin strapping and 3.3 V-safe control signals are required.
Package includes
1 × DY-SV17F MP3 and voice playback module.
Does not include
Speaker, Micro-USB data cable, pin headers, power supply, microcontroller, buttons or connecting wire.
Quick setup
- Load the required MP3 or WAV files into the onboard flash through a Micro-USB data connection.
- Configure CON1, CON2 and CON3 for the required operating mode before applying power.
- Connect a regulated 5 V supply to V5 and GND.
- For direct audio, connect a suitable speaker across SPK+ and SPK−.
- Connect only 3.3 V-safe control signals. For UART mode, use 9600 bps, 8 data bits, 1 stop bit and no parity.
- If track order matters, copy files to flash in the intended order and test the finished set before installation.
