Extend a USB 2.0 data connection over 15 metres with active signal boosting.

This USB-A male-to-female extension cable has built-in repeater electronics to help maintain signal integrity over a long cable run. It is suitable for compatible printers, scanners, webcams, flash drives and other USB 2.0 data devices.

Features

  • 15 metre USB-A male to USB-A female extension cable
  • Built-in active signal booster/repeater for long-distance data transmission
  • USB 2.0 data rates up to 480 Mbps, subject to the connected equipment and installation
  • Compatible with Windows, macOS, Linux and supported Android USB hosts
  • Plug-and-play with compatible USB devices

Important power information

Designed mainly for data transfer, not charging. USB power available at the far end may be insufficient for high-draw or bus-powered devices over 15 metres. If a device is not detected, disconnects or behaves unreliably, use an externally powered peripheral or a powered USB hub at the device end.

How to use

  1. Connect the male USB-A plug to your computer or USB host.
  2. Connect the peripheral to the female USB-A socket.
  3. Allow the operating system a few seconds to detect the device.

For Android equipment, the host must support USB host/OTG operation and may require a suitable adapter. Avoid adding unpowered hubs or extra passive extension cables to the 15 metre run.

Compatibility note: Performance depends on the USB host, peripheral power requirements, drivers and the complete connection setup. Our 14-day trial-and-return service lets you test compatibility with your equipment; refund excludes shipping fees and is subject to our returns conditions. This cable is intended primarily for data extension and can supply a maximum of 125 mA at the device end, not the standard 500 mA available directly from many USB 2.0 host ports. High-power or bus-powered equipment may require its own power supply or a powered USB hub at the remote end. It is not intended for charging.

Package includes: 1 × 15m active USB 2.0 extension cable with built-in amplifier.

Warranty & returns
