The 1.8m Black FireWire 800/400 9-pin IEEE 1394b Male to 6-pin IEEE 1394a Male Cable is a 1.8-meter long, black cable designed to connect devices with different FireWire port types. It features a 9-pin male connector on one end, supporting the faster FireWire 800 (IEEE 1394b) standard with data transfer rates up to 800 Mbps, and a 6-pin male connector on the other end, supporting the FireWire 400 (IEEE 1394a) standard with data transfer rates up to 400 Mbps. This cable allows for high-speed data transfer between newer devices with FireWire 800 ports and older devices with FireWire 400 ports, often used for audio/video equipment and external storage. The 6-pin connector also provides power.
